Justin “Smooth” Branch.
Vision Without Compromise.

Justin Branch, professionally known as Smooth, is a Raleigh, North Carolina–based producer, songwriter, vocalist, audio engineer, and the founder of Smooth Nation Entertainment. His work brings together musical storytelling, technical precision, and an understanding of the business behind the creative process—helping artists, brands, and organizations turn a clear vision into a distinctive sound.

Rooted in R&B and working across hip-hop, country, gospel, and cinematic music, Smooth approaches each project with the same question: what does this music need to make people feel? From developing an artist’s record to shaping original music for a brand or visual production, his focus is on creating work that connects with its audience and serves a purpose.

Through Smooth Nation Entertainment, he offers recording, production, songwriting, vocal direction, mixing, and mastering with a collaborative, hands-on approach. Artists gain a creative partner who respects their identity. Businesses and production teams gain a collaborator who understands that music must support the message, fit the brief, and carry the project’s identity with intention.

His work with Level Up Music Productions has expanded his creative practice in production music and sync, with music developed for film, television, advertising, and other visual media. In 2021, he also launched Smooth Nation Music Group, a BMI-affiliated publishing company focused on managing and developing his original catalog.

A Full Sail University graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Audio Production and a master’s degree in Entertainment Business, Smooth brings both creative and commercial perspective to the table. Whether the goal is an artist’s next release, a brand’s sonic identity, or music that brings a story to life, his commitment remains the same: understand the vision, respect the details, and create without compromise.
